Charlie Hebdo is a French satirical weekly magazine, featuring cartoons, reports, polemics, and jokes. The magazine this week released a cartoon that included the Queen and Meghan Markle which referred to George Floyd's death, Queen Elizabeth II was portrayed as Floyd's murderer and Meghan as George Floyd.
The cartoon came just days after the damning interview with Prince Harry, Meghan and Oprah. The two accused the royal family of remarks made about the skin tone of her baby, they stated that it was not Queen Elizabeth II or her husband, Philip, the Duke of Edenborough. Meghan said that this caused her to have suicidal thoughts throughout her pregnancy.

The cartoon was title "WHY MEGHAN QUIT BUCKINGHAM" and Meghan was drawn to say "Because I couldn't breath anymore" whilst the Queen was drawn to be kneeling on Meghan Markle's neck.
The CEO of race equality think tank the Runnymede Trust, Halima Bagum, calling it "wrong on every level".
"The Queen as George Floyd's murderer crushing Meghan's neck? Meghan saying she's unable to breathe? This doesn't push boundaries, make anyone laugh or challenge racism. It demeans the issues & causes offence, across the board," Bagum said on twitter.
This isn't the first time that this magazine caused an incident. In 2015, 12 staff were killed and 11 wounded in an attack caused after a cartoon was published which included the prophet Muhammed.
